Paravur is found at eight.78 N 76 E. it's a median elevation of ten metres (32 feet). Paravur panchayet was shaped in 1936 collectively of the four panchayats sanctioned by Sir C.P.Ramaswamy Iyer (Diwan-Thiruvithancore). The others were Boothapandi, Nedumangadu, and Perumbavoor.
